Annexe: Recapitulation of the Functions

The camera functions:

Camera Functions

In the 3D view, click and hold the left mouse button then move the mouse in the window to move the camera.

Rotation: When you move the mouse right to left, it rotates the camera on the Y axis. Move the mouse from top to bottom and it rotates the camera on the X axis.
Translation: Moving the mouse in this mode, moves the camera position on the same axes, X and Y.
Zoom: Move the mouse towards the bottom to zoom out, and towards the top for zooming in.
Elevation: Move the mouse towards the bottom to take the camera down (Y axis) and towards the top to lift up the camera.

The views:

View Functions

Hierarchy view: The hierarchy view. Right click in the 3D view and select Close view to use this view.
Edit view: The 3D edit view. Right click in the roomzone of the location and select Edit to use this view.

The edit functions:

(hierarchy view) Edit Functions

Move the elements: Moves a monster or an object. Left click on the element and move it by keeping the left button pressed.
Multiple elements selection: Left click and hold the button then move the mouse to create a selection retangle. You can move the selection with move by clicking inside the rectangle.
Global move: Hold the left mouse button down to move in this view.

The block functions:

Block Functions

Move block: Moves a block. Select the icon, click on the block you want to move with the left button pressed and drag it where you want.
Set block: To choose a particular block. Select the block and left click in the view where you want to put it.
Pick block: To choose a particular block. Select the block and left click in the view where you want it to be.
Delete block: Deletes a block. Left click on the block you want to delete.
Copy block: Duplicates a block. Left click to select the block you want to copy and keep the left button pressed then move the new block where you want it.
Rotate block: Rotates a block (available only in the dungeons). Left click on a block to rotate it by 90 degrees
Choose block: Chooses a block. Left click to select it.
Draw block: Put automatically a block with the transition to the surrounding blocks.
Style: Choice of different block styles with automatic transitions to the surrounding blocks.

The link functions:

Link Functions

Add Link: Adds a link between 2 state machines. Left click first on the origin then on the destination.
Delete Link: Deletes all links coming from the state machine selected. Left click on the state machine to delete them.

The collision functions:

Collision Functions

Set Collision: Left click to put a high collision.
Set Low Collision: Left click to put a low collision.
Clear Collision: Left click to delete a collision.

The merge function

You can put together different parts of the quests with the Merge function in the File menu.
To do so, select Hierarchy mode edition .
- Move in the hierarchy view until you find an empty place.
- Then select Merge in the File menu and choose the *.qst file you want to merge.
- Validate.
